The bootie ends up looking like those all-weather rubberized boots from LL Bean. I think they’re cute. Sorry, I have no gauge, but my finished product was 3 1/2” long and about 3” high, with a 2” cuff.

I also added a 20” crocheted chain that I added btw the cuff and foot to tie a bow and help keep the bootie on the baby’s foot. Babies’ feet are notorius for slipping out of their booties.

One thing I like about my pattern is that it has no seams to sew together at the end, which I hate. If I could tweak the pattern further, I’d add some eyelet holes with a YO, K2tog in strategic places before increasing in order to more easily thread the laces through. I’ll get to that next….
