This insanely cute little floppy doll can ride along with other gifts (he loves to hug jewelry and stitch markers and cards and candy) or just hang out and keep an eye on things. He has a remarkable ability to give you just “the look” you need in the moment, regardless of what you’re thinking and he makes the perfect couple of hours distraction in the middle of a big blanket.

just cute and fun… and teensie tiny if you use the sock weight yarn and go even smaller with your hook size than the 3mm I used.

You will need little buttons (10-15mm black buttons) or safety eyes (10-15mm) for this project and also animal stuffing. I use my yarn ends and trimmings mixed with polyfil stuffing.

I fell in love with the colorway before I made the doll and played with hook sizes until I liked the way the colorway presented and the stitch spaces.

NOTE: as with all things crochet the weight of yarn and size of hook are as important as your own tension… for me this little guy is less than 4” tall when sitting and 6” tall when standing. Pictured with the mini is also a guy made from larger yarns. See blog post for yarns used.
