These cosy birdies make great hanging decorations, centrepieces for wreaths or cute stocking fillers for the kiddos!

The materials required are listed below. The yarn used to make them as pictured was Drops Safran (cotton) yarn dark brown, light brown, red and mustard yellow.

You can mix up the colours, add some glitter, add some stitched decoration – whatever suits your mood.

Sports Weight Yarn (brown, red, light brown and a contrast colour)
2.5mm crochet hook
Stitch markers and pins
Yarn needle
Stuffing
Safety eyes (7mm x 2)

Stitch Knowledge Required:

Sc = Single crochet
Hdc = Half double crochet
Invdec = invisible decrease
Sc2tog = single crochet decrease
BLO = Back loops only
** = a repeating stitch pattern

Measurements:

The completed piece measures approx. 8 cm tall.
