Meet Flora the Duck — a sweet, garden-loving amigurumi who comes with her floppy sunhat, tiny watering can, and freshly picked radish. And now she’s mini!

This PDF pattern walks you through creating your own Flora with clear, step-by-step instructions and plenty of photos. There’s also a printer-friendly version included.

Finished Size
Finished size will vary depending on your yarn and hook. I made mine in Premier Parfait Chunky, and she is about 6-7” tall.

Notes

This is an intermediate-level pattern. If you’d like a refresher on any stitches, quick tutorials are easy to find on YouTube.

Most of Flora is worked in continuous rounds — a stitch marker in the first stitch of each round is recommended.

There’s a fair bit of sewing involved. I mostly use a whip stitch and like to pin pieces in place (ami sticks or regular pins both work great).

Materials

Use any yarn you like. For the sample, I used Premier Parfait Chunky in:

Cream – ½ skein (body)

Mustard – ¼ skein (beak)

Almond Butter – ¼ skein (hat)

Small scraps of: Teddy Bear (hat band), Cardinal (radish), Sour Apple (radish top), Rain (watering can), Ballet Pink (blush)

Hooks: 5.5 mm and 4.5 mm (or whatever suits your yarn)
Plus: yarn needle, stitch markers, scissors, stuffing, sewing pins/amisticks, and black embroidery thread.
