Mini Highland Cows
Finished Size: 6cm long
This pattern is worked flat on two straight needles and seamed at the end. The project is small and assembly can be a bit fiddly, so previous toy-making experience is helpful. The body is knitted and stuffed first. The hair is sewn along the spine, then the yarn strands are separated. Brush them with a pet brush for a fluffy effect; synthetic yarn gives the best result. If you prefer not to brush, simply separate the strands. Using a felting needle is optional but useful: gently needle-felt some fibres into the body to tidy the shape and refine small details.
The project calls for small amounts of DK (8-ply) weight yarn. Synthetic yarn is suitable if you would like to achieve fluffy look.
One body pattern with 3 colour variations.
