MATERIALS AND TOOLS
1. Yarn for crocheting and crochet hook.
My cat is crocheted from cotton yarn with 0.6 mm. crochet hook.
For a cat of this size, use yarn with a thickness of approx. 500-600 meters in 100 grams and a crochet hook that is close in size to mine.
The growth of a cat standing - about 40 mm, sitting - about 32 mm, excluding the tail and ears.
Depending on the crochet hook you are using, the thickness of the yarn and the crocheting density, the size of your work may differ from mine.

  1. Toy stuffing. If your cat is black or of other fairly dark color, you can use sheep wool of a similar color as a toy stuffing.
  2. Thin thread for embroidering the nose and eyebrows.
  3. Needle with suitable eye for assembly.
  4. If you crochet from not very strong or textured yarn, then for assembly you need a strong thin thread (for example, dental floss).
  5. Two small beads for the eyes (you can use beads or ready-made eyes of a suitable size). For the cat in the photo, I used 4 mm beads and painted them by hand. Perhaps this is the maximum size of beads that are suitable for this size of a cat. You will have to tinker with their design, so I recommend taking smaller beads or ready-made eyes.
  6. Thin fishing line or monofilament for whiskers.
  7. Materials for tinting (for example, dry pastels, acrylic paints, etc.). You may not tint the cat at all, or use the materials you like.
