Playing with Granny Squares is a ton of fun!

Covering an existing canvas tote makes for a super cute project bag, knitting bag, tote bag, yoga bag….the possibilities are endless!

This pattern calls for an 8”x 8” canvas tote. (totebagfactory.com) Finished squares should measure 4”. Every round counts for 1/2”. Increase the number of squares for a larger bag.

This is a wonderful stash buster or you can use 2 skeins Cotton Classic for the main color which is the joining round or 5th round of every square. I also used the main color to finish off the top of the bag.

Multiple colors for the other 4 rounds can be used or alternate 2 colors.

Squares can all be the same, be random in color or have a particular pattern. The sky is the limit!
