MiniChicks
The MiniChick stands about 2 inches high. It is designed for the adult collector. It is not suitable for small children or animals. A very small section of short rows on the front of the chicken adds height to approximate the head of the MiniChick. There are written instructions and YouTube Links of knitting and crochet techniques used in this pattern.
YARN
DK or a combination of yarns to bring the weight up to DK equivalent. I have also used fingering yarn samples from Miss Babs that are listed as 10 yards. And used even smaller needles. You will also need less than 1 meter of Fingering weight yarn or DMC # 25 embroidery thread for beak, wattle and cock’s comb. I used DK weight yarn in a contrasting color for the tail. Colors are up to the knitter. Smaller needles and thinner yarn will make a smaller MiniChick. See the Long Tailed MiniChick project.
