This pattern is a snuggle blanket, which means the lower half is sewn together and the top half is open on the backside. It can be made in different colors to suit your needs.
Length can be adjusted by adding extra rows at either the top or bottom. Make a longer chain if you want your blanket to be wider.
Exact gauge is not important for this project.
I used 100% acrylic yarn for all but the rim of the glasses, which is 100% mercerized cotton. You will need scissors, yarn needle, measuring tape and yarn colors of your choice.
I used Red Heart Super Saver yarn for the body, which is 364 yds, 7 oz. each in Bright Yellow and the same amount of Red Heart Super Saver, Pretty in Pink, one 6 oz skein of 364 yards. I used Lion Brand 24/7 Cotton for the rim of the glasses and a small amount of other colors for the eyes.
The body is made holding two strands together of #4 medium weight yarn and an “L” hook. I used one strand for the eyes, mouth, hair, bow, suspenders and buttons. I used coordinating yarn to sew up the back seam.
