Alderton – a lace mini shawl with a wavy edge

Alderton is a narrow lace scarf/mini shawl with a leafy lace pattern running down the centre and a gently scalloped edge. The wave shape comes from a continuously changing stitch count, so the edges undulate all by themselves, no extra edging needed.

It’s a beautiful project for gradient yarn: the colour changes flow through the leaf motifs and the waves of the edge. The sample is knitted in Bobbel Flora by Bunte Fussel.
