A quick project with a little bit of challenge: a beautiful, textured cowl that fastens with a single button. The cowl is made with a repeated square motif, each joined to its neighbour in a row. Each square motif starts with a magic ring and works out in a spiral, before being squared off. The motifs are worked in rounds throughout, with popcorns for added texture. I used an indie 4ply yarn/fingering yarn, but any similar yarn will work. The pattern is written in English and uses UK terms.
