Is it a cowl? Is it a capelet? It’s a cowlet! This versatile piece can be worn pulled down over the shoulders as a light capelet, or loosely around the neck as a cowl. Knit in fingering weight yarn at a loose gauge, it’s the perfect airy spring layer.

Worked from the bottom up in the round, it requires no seaming. A solid or tonal color will play nicely with the stitch patterns—try one of the new gradient yarns or use up leftovers and switch colors between sections for a unique look.

Finished Sizes: Small/Med (Med/Large)—approximately 42 (48)” / 107 (122) cm circumference at bottom edge, 21 (24)” / 53 (61) cm circumference at neck, and 16½” / 42 cm long.

Note: the larger circumference is intended for individuals with a larger bust size who wish to wear this piece as a capelet; if intended to be worn solely around the neck as a cowl, the smaller circumference is recommended.

Yarn: Dream in Color Jilly, 100% Superwash Merino wool (4oz / 113g; 440 yd / 400m); 1 (2) skeins in Brilliant.
