ntroducing the Mirror Knit-Along (KAL) designed by the creative talent of Fran Morgan. Inspired by her love of stranded colourwork and textured patterns, she loves to create patterns that use a combination of knit and purl stitches and having the freedom to interchange the charts for either method.

“I have chosen some of my favourite stitch patterns which produce dramatic effects by using knit and purl stitches. These patterns create a 3D image which I love, they really pop out. Using the same stitch pattern and knitting them in two-colour stranded knitting, you see a totally different image emerge. You can choose to knit the squares using both methods or stick to the one you like. I have concentrated on simple geometric shapes, such as squares and circles. The pattern repeat for each square is simple and hopefully not to difficult to work. You can play around with the colours or just use the suggested colour. By choosing to do your ‘own thing’ you can produce a unique piece of knitting.”

To give our customer even more choice, this Knit-Along is available in two different colourways featuring the different fibre option of two yarn ranges. Firstly there is the bright and eye-catching colourway in our own Deramores Studio Aran, a wonderfully soft acrylic yarn which has been developed with anti-pilling technology. Perfect for knitting or crocheting garments, toys, accessories, and blankets. Or why not try the more subtle and rustic feeling colourway in Baa Ram Ewe Winterburn Aran, a wonderful blend of soft, versatile Masham wool and Bluefaced Leicester, resulting in a bouncy, hard-wearing yarn; perfect for warm, durable garments and accessories.

This KAL will start on 30th January 2020 and will run for a duration of 6 weeks with a new section of the pattern added every week, Thursday at 10:00 am GMT on Website, dedicated Facebook group - Deramores: The Projects, Social Media, Blog and on our Newsletter. The pattern will be available for FREE as a Digital Download and comes in UK Terminology.
