Miski Sweater
CONSTRUCTION
The back and front are knitted flat from the bottom up in seperate pieces and joined together. The neck and armhole edges are picked up and knitted.
TECHNIQUES USED
Cast on, knit, purl, decreasing at the neck shaping, cast off, picking up stitches at armhole and neck.
Optional but recommended to create the feeling of joy when joining your pieces: mattress stitch and three needle cast off.
YARN
11(12:12) 50g hanks of Miski.
SUGGESTED KNITTING NEEDLES
4.5mm and 5mm.
GAUGE (tension)
18 stitches and 24 rows to 10cm/4ins square over stocking stitch. I obtained this gauge with 5mm needles.
It is important to obtain the correct gauge so do work a swatch before you start the pattern and change your needle size to achieve the correct gauge if you need to.
FINISHED MEASUREMENTS
I recommend positive ease of 10 to 18”/25 to 46cm at the chest.

49¼, (53¾, 58)ins
Length (from top of shoulder to cast on edge)
66, (68, 70)cm
26, (26¾, 27½)ins
