Missed Connections Shawl is sister to the Bruma Shawl, since I used the same beautiful yarn, Pure Merino from Positive Ease, and explored another use of the same type of stitch pattern.
The beauty and elegance of the slipped-stitch-rib in Bruma is enchanting, therefore, I wanted to use it once more but in a different direction and in another shawl construction.
Again, the final effect is minimalist yet elegant. It recalls a contemporary geometric architectural pattern, and the absolute gorgeousness of Pure Merino from Positive Ease yarns.
The elongated crescent shawl is worked top down, alternating and mixing three colors. However, the shawl can be customized by continuing the color change sequence, and increasing yarn quantities.
A picot edge finishes the bottom border.

GAUGE after blocking: 24 sts x 51 rows = 10 x 10 cm / 4 x 4” in Textured pattern (slipped ribs on garter background)
Gauge is not critical; different gauge will only affect finished size and yardage.

FINISHED SIZE after blocking: approx 212 x 45 cm / 83.5 x 17.75”.

MATERIALS:
Fingering weight yarn in 3 colors, approx 200 m / 218 yds for C1, 400 m/ 437 yds each of C2 and C3.
Yarn used for the sample: Positive Ease Pure Merino, 100% merino superwash; C1: Barrique; C2: Greetings from Bologna; C3: Bringing up Baby.

Lo scialle a semiluna allungata è lavorato top down, alternando e mescolando tre diversi colori.
