This knit-in-the-round, completely reversible garment can be whatever cold-weather accessory you need. Toss it around your neck as a scarf, loop it over your head to serve as a hood, or tuck your arms through to pull on a shrug. Or anything else you can think of!

The eclectic patchwork pattern gives the garment visual interest without burdening it with right or wrong sides—the pattern is reversible, and it’s easily customizable for a variety of sizes. Best of all, it offers complete freedom from that annoying pile of winter accessories!

Note: When choosing a size, keep in mind that this pattern is very stretchy. Sizes pertain more to the size of the garment than the size of the person. If you plan on wearing this mostly as a scarf or hood, you might want to knit a large to give yourself plenty of length to loop around. If you’re more likely to wear it as a shrug, try the small or medium to keep it snug on your back. And of course you can mix and match the circumference and width across the different sizes—just remember that the yardage will be affected.

Size medium shrug modeled on 34” (86cm) bust is shown.
