The beauty of how the morning light filters through the fog over the mountain lake inspired this design. This wonderful texture is created with DK weight merino-silk and lace-weight mohair-silk yarns worked in a 4 by 4 Quaker Rib. Design can be made with any 2 yarns but I enjoy the colorful play of one hand-paint and one solid. Pattern includes a shorter cowl version with buttons and a longer and wider shawl design as well. Front and back are both beautiful and it is reversible as shown in photo.
Yarns are passed up the sides, so no cutting to change yarns.
Available in 3 sizes: adjustable cowl with 3 or 5 buttons, scarf and shawl. Yardage is 90, 110 and 350 accordingly for each of the two yarns you select. I love the look of the lace weight mohair with the shine of the silky merino but other weights and styles of yarn are also wonderful.
