Mitered granny tote bag
This tote bag pattern uses the Mitered Granny Square motif by designer Sue Rivers, shared with permission. The original free motif pattern can be found here:

Sue Rivers kindly gave Lyn’s Crafts permission to use the motif in this tote bag pattern and to sell the finished pattern, with credit and a link provided for the original granny square design.
Following this pattern, your finished tote will measure approximately 14” x 14” x 5”. It is roomy enough to carry yarn, crochet supplies, baby items, or everyday essentials.
Gauge may vary depending on the yarn you choose. This project works well as a scrap-yarn or stash-busting project, but for best results, use yarns of the same general weight, such as worsted or sport weight.
For the sides of the bag and the handles, you will need additional yarn. Plan for more than one skein, or up to approximately 450 yards. Red Heart Super Saver is a good option because it creates a sturdy tote with enough structure to help the bag hold its shape.
Special thanks to Sue Rivers for allowing the use of her Mitered Granny Square motif in this pattern.
