The Mithril top is a textured crochet top featuring a crew neck, a slightly tapered body and accented edging. The top is shaped at the armholes and shoulders for an improved fit. Wear the Mithril top year-around; it is great for layering in cooler seasons, worn as a vest or blazer over a shirt. Made in a warm-weather friendly yarn, the top can effortlessly be worn on its own as a causal summer top and it pairs nicely with shorts and skirts.

The Mithril top is crocheted sideways, all in one piece with no seaming needed. It works up fairly quick in an easy stitch pattern. As an alternative to the tapered body, the pattern explains how to make the top straight instead. It is also possible to adjust the length of the top.
