This is a quick project suitable for using up all those leftover bits of gorgeous sock yarn. It is particularly good for handpainted yarn because of the garter stitch which mixes up the colours, and because the row length is constantly changing so colours are much less likely to pool. The garter stitch also makes the fabric just a little thicker which protects your phone better. You can either use the same yarn for the whole project or use different yarns for each square for a brighter effect.

The pattern is designed for a 12x6cm phone but is easily adapted for different sized phones. About 10g of fingering weight yarn is needed, plus a set of 3.25mm dpns.
