This is a 2 in 1, fully written step-by-step pattern for stockinette mittens that you can adapt to any hand size and almost any yarn. All calculations are explained so you can customise the fit to your own gauge and measurements.
The pattern includes two separate, detailed thumb options - a classic thumb gusset and an Indian thumb gusset - so you can choose your favourite construction or knit both versions.

Sizes:
Custom - formulas and instructions are given to calculate stitch and row counts for any hand size.

Gauge:
17 sts and 26 rows = 10 x 10 cm (4 x 4 in) in stockinette in the round after blocking.
Yarn - choose one of the following options:

• BC Garn Hamelton Tweed 1 GOTS (90% wool, 10% viscose, 50 g - 100 m) held together with Kremke Silky Kid (72% kid mohair, 28% silk, 25 g - 210 m) Work with one strand of base yarn and one (or two) strands of mohair held together. Yardage - 2 skeins of base yarn and 1 skein of mohair.

• Drops Air (65% alpaca, 7% merino wool, 28% polyamide, 50 g - 150 m) Work with two strands held together. Yardage - 2 skeins.

• Kremke Babyalpaka (100% baby alpaca, 50 g - 100 m) held together with Kremke Alpaka Boucle (89% alpaca, 11% polyamide, 50 g - 250 m) or with Kremke Silky Kid (72% kid mohair, 28% silk, 25 g - 210 m) Work with one strand of base yarn and one (or two) strands of boucle or mohair held together. Yardage - 2 skeins of base yarn and 1 hank of boucle (or 1 skein of mohair).

• Kremke Merry Merino 140 (100% merino wool, 50 g - 140 m) held together with Kremke Alpaka Boucle (89% alpaca, 11% polyamide, 50 g - 250 m) Work with one strand of base yarn and one (or two) strands of boucle held together. Yardage - 1 skein of base yarn and 1 hank of boucle.

You can also add a subtle sparkle with Kremke Stellaris or Kremke Twinkle. The pattern is gauge based, so you are free to choose other yarns and combinations you like for your mittens.

Needles and notions:

• Double pointed needles or circular needles (80-100 cm) suitable for magic loop, in a size that gives you a firm stockinette fabric with your chosen yarn
• Tapestry needle

• Scissors
