I have made so many things for the neck and head, and I wanted you to have something that would be easy to make, and at the same time, be oh-so-wearable.

These mitts are not only gorgeously warm to wear, they are also incredibly versatile. They can be worn in many different ways: inside out, upside down, with top and/or bottom section folded back, or not, it really is up to you! And because of the myriad forms of symmetry within the design, they can be worn to match each other identically, or as inverse versions of each other, to make a fraternal pair.

Worn with both ends folded over, they are compact and just like an ordinary fingerless mitt, but with extra padding and warmth around the wrist and around the palm, to make sure everything stays feeling cosy. Should you need to protect your finger tips from the cold a bit more, however, you can unfold the finger end of the mitt, and there is enough room to amply accommodate even the the longest fingers with ease. You can even tuck your thumb inside the thumb slit, so it can have a cosy hygge party with its friends. Even with your fingers completely hidden, because the end of the mitt is left open, you have easy access if you need to use your smartphone’s touchscreen, without going through the rigmarole of having to open anything up.

All of this, from what is, essentially, a simple tube, with a slit in the middle to stick your thumb through!

Worn however you prefer, with these mitts on your hands, you’ll not only look stylish, but you’ll be perfectly protected against the chill winds of winter.
