I have made these mitts using 1 skein of Koigu and 1 skein of Lorna’s Laces Shepherd Sock. My hands are “smallish”, but not that small. My youngest daughter’s hands are small, and the small size is a little too large for her. (If your hands are as small as hers, you may want to use size 0 needles.) My best female friend has relatively large hands, and the larger size is just right for her. 1 skein of Koigu sock yarn was enough for the large size, but if you want a really deep cuff, you might want to purchase more than one skein.
