Like a hug from your favorite headmistress, this pretty and functional mitt keeps you warm in a washable cashmere/merino blend. Choose open or closed thumb, mitt or adjustable-cap glove. This mitt has stretch and will fit hands from a womens’ larger-small to a smaller-large.

For mitts, with or without thumbs, use one ball each of MC and CC of Debbie Bliss Baby Cashmerino. For gloves, two balls of MC, one of CC.

Needles: Six Size 3 (3.25mm) double-point needles

Notions: 3 st markers: one Start of Round marker (SORM), two stitch markers in other color. Glove only: Stitch holder, two buttons of your choice size.

Gauge: 24sts and roughly 32rows= 4” on size 3 (3.25) needles in stockinette stitch. Gauge is not terribly important for this project. In fact, if you want a slightly bigger (and airier) mitt, increase needle size to 4.

Techniques included but not reviewed in pattern: Knitted Cast-On; Cable Cast-On; Traditional Bind-Off; Kitchener stitch, I cord.

Offered for no charge at time of publication, it may require payment for future purchases at undecided date.
