These comfy socks are knit from the top down using an intarsia-in-the-round technique to create a color block on one half and a more subtle gradient on the other half that slowly melts from one color to another. The clean lines and classic reverse stockinette stitch showcase the variegated and speckled yarns. German short-rows require no wrapping for easy shaping.

FINISHED SIZES
5¾ (6¾, 7¾, 8¾)“ (14.5 17, 19.5, 22 cm) foot circumference.
Shown in size 6¾“ (17 cm). Socks are intended to be worn with ½” (1.3 cm) negative ease.

YARN
Fingering weight (#1 Super Fine).

NEEDLES
Size U.S. 1 (2.25 mm): set of 5 doublepointed (dpn), 2 circular (cir), or 1 long cir, as you prefer for small-circumference knitting.
Adjust needle size if necessary to achieve the correct gauge.

NOTIONS
Markers (m); stitch holder or waste yarn; tapestry needle; sock blocker.

GAUGE
32 sts and 50 rnds = 4” (10 cm) in St st.
