This is a fun and easy to knit set of matching hat and mittens, using a worsted weight yarn for the ribbing, which is then held together with a colourful sock weight yarn for the body of each piece. All are knit in the round, so there’s minimal finishing to do.
The patterns are one size, but can easily be adjusted.
The gauge listed is for the hat, the mitten gauge is 22sts/32rows on a 3.5mm needle.
To make the set you will need 2 skeins of Berroco Vintage (sample used #5100-Snow Day) or Estelle Worsted in #62101-White, and 1 skein of a colourful sock yarn (sample used KFI Indulgence Hand Painted Fingering in #09-Grand Violette)
Add a pompom to the hat and you have a warm set, all ready for winter.
