This seamless baby cardigan is made top down with integrated neck and button bands. When the knitting is finished just weave in the ends and sew on the buttons.

With a vee neckline that is still high enough to keep baby’s chest warm, the entire cardigan is in garter stitch to make it thick and cosy, and then to give it a little style I kept the sleeves wide and roomy but with neat ribbed cuffs so they don’t slide up when baby is waving their arms about. This pattern also has two options for finishing the body – simply straight or cutely curvy.

Like all minimal knits | DESIGNED baby clothes, MK#15 provides plenty of room to grow and the sleeve cuffs are designed to be rolled up when baby is at the younger end of the range.

Depending on your yarn colour and button choices, this cardigan will be suitable for a little girl or little boy. The pictured cardigans were made with 8ply 100% superwash merino hand-dyed by Bombed Yarns in a special colour that I like to call Sunny Citrus, and BWM Luxury 8ply in the colour Leaf.
