This minimal knits | DESIGNED seamless baby cardigan is made in 4ply/fingering yarn. Working top down, starting with the collar, we do some easy short rows to elevate the back of the neck, and create a minimal garter self-stripe in line with the buttonholes – so their positioning varies depending on the cardigan size.

The collar and the hem are decorated with the very simple garter band technique. When the knitting is finished all we have to do is weave in the ends and sew on the buttons.
Depending on your yarn colour and button choices it will be suitable for a baby girl or boy.

The pictured cardigan was made using Bendigo Woollen Mills 4ply/fingering Luxury 100% machine washable wool, in the colour Moonflower.

Skill Level Easy… even though it might include a technique you haven’t used before, the pattern contains simple, straightforward instructions and notes on where to look for more information.
