These seamless baby pants are made top down with integrated waist band and cuffs, and when the knitting is finished all we have to do is sew two tiny gaps and weave in the ends.

We start with the Tillybuddy Very Stretchy Cast On – because it makes the ribbed waistband so elastic it will stay in place, keep that part of baby’s tummy warm, but won’t be awkward to shift over the nappy/diaper. And we use slightly smaller than usual size needles for 8ply/DK yarn so that the pants are knitted firmly to minimise cold air getting through - that’s why the gauge is different from the standard for this sort of yarn.

Like all minimal knits | DESIGNED baby clothes, MK#62 provides plenty of room to grow and the leg cuffs are designed to be folded up when baby is at the younger end of the range.

The pictured pants were made with Bombed Yarns DK/8ply 100% wool in the colour Magic Potion.

Skill Level Beginner… even though it might include a technique you haven’t used before, the pattern contains simple, straightforward instructions and notes on where to look for more information.
