This minimal knits | DESIGNED seamless baby summer top is made in the round, top-down and when the knitting is finished all we have to do is weave in the ends.

We start with a knit 1 purl 1 rib neck band and then do some simple short rows to lower the front of the neck band. The yoke and body rounds always alternate the two colours – either colours that look good together or any colour plus white or cream – so this pattern is good for using up leftovers. The short sleeves and hem also include knit 1 purl 1 rib, and except for ribbing every 6th round, the rest is all just stocking stitch.

Depending on your yarn choices this summer top is perfect for a little boy or girl.

The pictured top was made with Heirloom Cotton DK/8ply cotton in the colour Spring Green and Cascade Ultra Pima Cotton DK/8ply in the colour Marigold.

Skill Level Easy… even though it might include a technique you haven’t used before, the pattern contains simple, straightforward instructions and notes on where to look for more information.
