How many times have we been told things like “ Girls can’t - - - “ or “ Girls don’t - - - “ ? This year the Women’s History Month MKAL is featuring women who currently are demonstrating that women “CAN” and “DO”!

The theme for this year’s project will be Climbing Mountains.

Each clue was inspired by an amazing woman working in the STEM field. Information on each will be included in the clue.

As with any endeavor, the process requires advanced planning. The goal of this MKAL is to provide options to allow you to create the accessory of your dreams. The finished object can be a scarf or cozy cowl. The scarf/cowl was designed to be knitted with fingering weight yarn using 3 contrasting colors (1 varigated with 2 solids or 3 solids).

The pattern includes color work, unique textured sections using basic stitches, and just a touch of lace. The pattern will support different options for casting on as well as for the edging. Some are simple and others more complex.

The teaser pictures DO NOT show the actual patterns used in the design. The idea was to show how each of the edging options appear. Don’t worry about the details, just yet. There will be plenty of support in my MKAL group here.
