Moanzi is a miracle baby born to a friend, after they were told that they would never conceive. Obviously, we had to celebrate her birth with a special design, just for her, and aptly named after her!

This blanket is crocheted in only one stitch pattern: daisy stitch, also known as star stitch. I am very much against baby blankets that have holes all over, as my oldest daughter nearly lost a finger due to her finger getting stuck in a hole of a baby blanket, cutting off the blood flow. Since then, I am a firm believer in dense baby blankets. Star stitch is ideal to achieve that goal. Not only is this blanket much safer, but it is also much warmer. It is also slightly heavy, making it a perfect swaddle blanket as well. The blanket is a bit bigger than a traditional baby blanket, so it can be used for much longer.

Dimensions of finished blanket: 140 cm x 115 cm.
