Knitting pattern for Mock Cable Baby Blanket - or lap blanket - great for the car, or for elderly relative - a stylish throw with lots of uses - a beautiful and practical gift for relatives, baby showers etc.

Gorgeous, simple stitch - looks just like cabling but without the hassle of that extra needle! Has the advantage of being fully reversible - the stitch is also attractive on the reverse (see last photo for reverse side).

Easy and quick to make - suitable for improving beginners, but really satisfying to knit for any level of experience.
The pattern involves a little basic crochet (if you want to add the coral red trim).
Mouse slippers pattern is NOT included but is sold separately on Ravelry

Knitted with 2 strands of DK yarn (with yarn doubled) on US size 9 needles (5.5mm).
Requires approx 1320yds of DK yarn, plus approx 440yds of contrast for the edging.

The pattern includes a FULL tutorial with color photos throughout.
Written for an improving beginner so easy to follow with 8 pages of step-by-step instructions and color photos to guide you through every stage of the making process from start to finish.
