This gorgeous knit-look design is an entirely new twist on crocheted cables! This easy technique creates a fabric that is lightweight and uses less yarn than other cable techniques which often incorporate post stitches.

Worked side-to-side, this pattern uses only ch and hdc throughout, with dc and sc for the edgings.

Pattern is made to measure according to the standard sizing chart provided in the pattern. Size chart includes sizes newborn to 12 years. You could likely use this same pattern to make larger sizes if you are experienced with crochet .

You may use fingering, sport or DK weight yarn with this pattern. There is no gauge required as the pattern is made to measure. As a result, no specific yardage estimates can be provided in the pattern. (Sample size 5 used just under 1,000 yards of a fingering weight yarn crochet hook size H (5.0 mm).

You’ll also need several small buttons and needle and thread.
