These lovely mittens have a great little cable twist on the cuff which is easy to do. The mock cable on the front is done with no cable needle. They have a lovely texture and look so elegant.
The pattern is written so it is easy to follow, worked flat with a seam to sew.

Because of the cable on the front the mittens look slim but do have a stretch on them to fit nice. The photo is the medium size.
I used a wool blend yarn for these. A friend knitted a pair in merino wool which came out slightly smaller and fitted well once on.
As the yardage is around 160 -200 yards it is great to dive into your stash and use some of the yarn.
