Mock Top
This is a bottom-up design, featuring a mock cable “ribbing” for the base, followed by increases and circular knitting for a voluminous body shape. The body is then split into front and back pieces for armhole shaping and seaming at the shoulders.
Sizes
XS (S) M (L) XL
To fit chest circumference approx:
28–30 (32–34) 36–38 (40–42) 44–46 in
71–76 (81–86) 91–97 (102–107) 112–117 cm
Size Guide
Fitted at the under bust/lower ribcage with a billowy bust due to the increase shaping.
Techniques
Mock Cable — 2-st right twist (RT): k2tog leaving both stitches on needle; insert right needle between 2 stitches and knit the first stitch again, then slip both stiches off the needle.
Knit front back — knit into the front loop of a stitch as usual, but instead of slipping it off the needle, you then knit into the back loop of the same stitch before finally slipping both loops off the needle, resulting in two stitches.
