Mockinya is a simple and sweet beanie with a delicate colourwork adorning the body. However, this colourwork is much simpler than you would think: only one colour is ever worked in a round, with all the colourwork deceptively created by slip stitches. This is sure to be a favourite.

Mockinya is named after a small rural community in the northern parts of the Grampians in Victoria, Australia.

Construction:
Mockinya is worked seamlessly in the round from the brim upwards. A rolled edge leads into the ribbed brim. The body of the beanie is worked in two colours in the stitch pattern. The crown shaping does require the ability to read your knitting and predict stitch pattern placement.

Pattern includes both written and charted instructions.
