This modern Christmas Tree Pillow will add a touch of style to any living room for the holiday season! It works up really quickly using the moss stitch worked on the diagonal.

Construction

  • The pillow cover is crocheted from the bottom up, starting with a small triangle shape which then increases in size as you add rows.
  • Once the required width is reached you stop increasing at the sides.
  • Once the required height is reached, you stop increasing at the top, and the fill in the 2 corners to create a square.

Yarn
This pattern calls for DK weight yarn but you can just as easily use worsted weight/#4 yarn; you will just end up with a larger pillow cover - approx. 24” x 24”

Wall hanging option
This pattern is for the front panel of a pillow only. If you don’t want to make a pillow you can easily turn it into a wall hanging. The pattern does not include instructions for how to do this but it does include some photos for inspiration.

As well as the written instructions, the pattern also includes a full chart, as well as a handy table of stitch counts for each row.
