This smooshy garter stitch blanket looks like fancy colourwork, but it’s easy! The blanket is knit in 5 interlocking pieces which are sewn together to create a modern graphic design.

With this construction method, you avoid the hassle of turning a large blanket over in your lap as you work right and wrong sides, and you can work the pieces on straight needles, too. Caron Cakes striped yarn does all the colour changes for you.

Size
104cm/41” wide X 130cm/51” long. The size of your blanket is easily adjustable by adding pattern repeats for length and additional pieces for width. Keep in mind the amount of yarn required will change with adjustments to size.

Yarn: 4 Balls of Caron Cakes 80% Acrylic 20% Wool (350m/383yds = 200g/7.1oz.)

5mm/US8 knitting needles or size to achieve gauge, 2 different removable stitch markers (optional), crochet hook (optional), and tapestry needle.
