LaceCoins is a modular crochet rug pattern that allows you to create a rug in the shape and size you need.

The design is built from individual crocheted motifs that can be combined in different ways. You can follow one of the six ready-made layouts included in the pattern or use the motifs as a modular system to create your own rug.

The pattern includes six rug configurations:

• Abstraction Max
• Abstraction Mini
• Round
• Square
• Rectangle
• Runner

The PDF includes row-by-row written instructions in English, diagrams, layouts and cord calculations for all six configurations.

Video tutorials are also included for the more complex elements and for joining the motifs. The videos are in Russian, but the written pattern is in English.

You can also use the instructions to design your own configuration and calculate the approximate amount of cord needed.

MATERIALS

• Braided polyester cord or a similar firm braided cord
• Original cord: approximately 380 g per 100 m (3.8 g/m / approximately 13.4 oz per 109 yd)
• Crochet hook: 10 mm

The substitute cord does not have to be exactly 5 mm or have a core. The important thing is to choose a braided, not twisted, cord with a similar weight and structure.

1. Abstraction Max

Size: approximately 150 × 102 1/3 in (3.8 × 2.6 m)
Cord needed: approximately 16,600 ft (5,050 m)

1. Abstraction Mini

Size: approximately 102 1/3 × 67 3/4 in (2.6 × 1.72 m)
Cord needed: approximately 7,550 ft (2,300 m)

1. Rectangle

Size: approximately 71 × 43 1/3 in (1.8 × 1.1 m)
Cord needed: approximately 4,430 ft (1,350 m)

1. Square

Size: approximately 58 1/3 × 58 1/3 in (1.48 × 1.48 m)
Cord needed: approximately 5,250 ft (1,600 m)

1. Round

Diameter: approximately 78 3/4 in (2 m)
Cord needed: approximately 7,550 ft (2,300 m)

1. Runner

Size: approximately 118 × 47 1/3 in (3 × 1.2 m)
Cord needed: approximately 6,900 ft (2,100 m)

These six layouts are examples. You can arrange the LaceCoins motifs in other combinations to create a rug that suits your space.
