This pattern is a really flattering design that can look quite ‘dressy’ depending on the yarn used.
I love the stamen stitch as it is really easy to do but looks clever and pretty.
The neckline frames the face and adds interest withought being high, and it can be acessorised with a smart button ( I indulged myself in Liberty, London) or a special brooch.

The yarn used is now discontinued but the design would work well in any standard mohair or a lightweight chunky. A friend has knit two in James Brett Marble Chunky and they look great.
