Mothers. Strong, caring, inspiring. This sweater is an ode to mothers and to my mother.

The pattern in the yoke is the Icelandic word móðir (e. mother) in bindrunes, made from the runic alphabet used in Iceland until the 14th century.

The sweater is knitted in the round like traditional Icelandic lopi sweaters; sleeves and body are knitted separately and joined for the yoke.
