Happy Release Day!!

EDIT The free downloads went like hot cakes!! (90 minutes and they were all gone!! This is such a great knit (biased) that I’m not surprised.

You can still get a deal though … grab it at 50% off until June 6th. The discount will automatically apply. You do NOT need a code (do NOT click ‘buy it now’ - put it in your basket first or the discount wont work. Enjoy.

Make sure you’re following @beanieboatdesigns on Facebook and/or Instagram as that’s where I always announce advance notice on release dates. Happy Knitting. x

MoJo Continues

After kickstarting my Mojo with the MoJo Mittens there simply had to be a matching beanie. And what a beanie it is … a simple classic style with a modern twist.

You will work in the round, from the brim. This beanie is formed by working simple knits and purls. The detail in the crown is formed by carefully placed decreases.

Written in full with handy progress check boxes, so you can keep a visual track of where you are.

I have formatted this pattern in such a way that you should only need to print page 3.

Saving the planet one unprinted page at a time.

Skills Used …

  • Loose, long tail cast on.
  • Knit and purl stitches.
  • Decreasing (SSK & K2TOG).

You will need the following …

  • DK : 50g
  • 3.5mm and 4mm* circulars or dpns.
  • 3 stitch markers.
  • 1 BOR marker
  • Tapestry needle (the sewing those dreaded ends in).

(Or size required to obtain gauge)

Gauge and Size …

21 stitches and 24 rows over 10cm (4 inches) using 4mm needles in pattern (notes provided in pattern for swatch).
If you get more stitches/rows than me go with larger needles than noted and if you get less, go smaller.

Approximately 20 cm (8 inches) wide by 22 cm (9 inches)tall (unblocked, laid flat).

I can’t wait to see your MoJo Beanie so please do be sure to start a project page or tag me on Instagram and Facebook (#mojobeanie @beanieboatdesigns).

Follow me (@beanieboatdesigns) on Instagram and Facebook for updates on future patterns, test-knits and giveaways from the boat. Yes, I said boat … it’s on a narrowboat, where I live and work.

If you like the look of this pattern it would be a huge help to me if you would give it a like as I have an overflowing notebook of ideas and this helps me understand what to work on next. Your support of my little dream is so appreciated. Every ‘like’ helps and it’s a known fact I do a tiny happy dance each time I get a notification. I am a terrible dancer!
