Mokosh Scarf & Shawlette
Mokosh Scarf & Shawlette
Mokosh is a beautifully textured accessory designed around the mesmerizing Herringbone Stitch, a stitch that looks intricate and sophisticated, yet becomes wonderfully rhythmic once you get into the flow.
The masterclass includes two versions:
Mokosh Scarf — a smaller, everyday accessory designed to wrap comfortably around your neck. Finished measurements are approximately 116 cm (46”) long and 14 cm (5.5”) deep.
Mokosh Shawlette — a larger, more generous version that can be wrapped around your neck or draped over your shoulders on cooler days. Finished measurements are approximately 155 cm (61”) long and 30 cm (12”) deep.
Both versions are worked from one corner to the other, gradually increasing to create the depth, then mirroring the shaping with decreases for a beautifully balanced, symmetrical silhouette.
While Herringbone Stitch may look like an advanced technique, Mokosh is designed to make it approachable. Throughout the masterclass, I guide you step by step through the stitch itself, shaping, my specially developed increases and decreases, and the clean Herringbone bind-off method I created specifically for this design.
Choose your favorite yarn, make it completely your own, and enjoy the slow, satisfying rhythm of Herringbone Stitch.
