I love cowls! They are warm, easy to make and will not blow off my neck when biking or just taking a walk in my windy hometown.

This cowl is designed to leave as few scraps of yarn as possible. It is a simple knit, ideal for beginners, for taking to a knitting café or for brightening up long, boring commutes.

We have very cold winters in Sweden and this cowl is designed with that in mind. It is big enough to keep cold air away from your neck and the circle construction guarantees that it will not blow off if you are that special kind of daredevil that does not think that ice and snow are reasons enough to put your bike away.

The pattern uses about 200 meters of yarn in each of the three colours, but if you would rather make an lighter autumn version, try using only two colours and make a “skinnier” version.

Please do not hesitate to contact me if you have questions, need help or have found a mistake in my pattern!

Happy knitting!
