Hi, my name is Robbie. I’m a crocheter who just started a sustainable crafting business, CraftCycled, in January 2025. I use 100% reclaimed materials on all my projects, and try to focus on sustainable methods in my pattern-making. You can find out more about me @craftcycled on Instagram, Bluesky, Facebook, or TikTok!

Let’s just say I made this little Molotov Cocktail amigurumi as a way to channel my feelings about the current US political climate. Better than throwing the real thing around (maybe?).

Molly is a fast and easy project that can be made with any size yarn you like. A chart is included to help you choose the right hook and yarn weight to achieve the desired size for your Molotov. It’s a great stash buster for your leftover yarn scraps!

Materials Needed:

  • Crochet hook
  • Yarn in any weight or fiber type you choose
    • Bottle: 20-60 yards (depending on yarn weight)
    • Cloth: 1 yard in white
    • Flame: a few inches of scrap in red & yellow (or any fiery color you have)
  • Yarn needle
  • Piece of flat scrap plastic, such as a yogurt lid
  • Pen and scissors for cutting the scrap plastic
  • Fiber fill and/or scrap yarn for stuffing

Difficulty: This is an easy pattern recommended for a beginner or above.

Instruction Style: Includes written instructions with helpful photos. This pattern uses American/US crochet terminology.
