Molly version A
Originally published in Cocoknits Sweater Workshop, This updated edition has a wider range of chest (33.75-71” / 86-180.5 cm bust) and shoulder sizes and an optional folded rib neckline with decorative braid.
The Molly pullovers are a sophisticated take on a basic sweatshirt. The simplicity of the pattern allows a beautiful yarn to take center stage and to add your own variations. For Julie’s Version B sweater, she added longer ribbing at hip and cuffs, as well as a lateral braid and foldover ribbed collar, but no elbow patches. Both versions can have an A-line shape; the hemline of Version A ends with deep ribbing straight across the bottom, and the sleeves feature elbow patches in a contrasting color. Version B has an A-line shape with a hemline that curves from shorter in the front to longer in the back, and the sleeves have more subtle garter-stitch elbow patches. Either elbow patch option works on either version.

BEFORE PURCHASING THIS PATTERN
This sweater is worked using the Cocoknits Method, a commonsense system for knitting seamless, tailored sweaters from the top down. The Cocoknits Method is explained in detail in Cocoknits Sweater Workshop by Julie Weisenberger, in her On Demand Classes, and in tutorials on cocoknits.com.
All of the page numbers in this pattern refer to pages in Cocoknits Sweater Workshop, where the techniques are explained in detail. Some knitters find that they can learn the new-to-them techniques with our free knit tutorials, while others are more comfortable purchasing an On Demand Class, or the Cocoknits Sweater Workshop book, available on our website and at many local yarn stores.
