Momma’s Embrace is my personal labor of love to honor our daughter, Kerri. We lost Kerri to a heart attack in 2011. She was a recovering addict and was homeless at the time of her death. One of her children was living with us and the other two were living with her older sister. Her death came as a shock to us all and we will be recovering from that shock for the rest of our lives. This pattern is my way to help her three children remember the warmth of her embrace and the great love that she had for them. The variety of stitches chosen for this design were done so to symbolize her loves – angels, flowers, and puppy paws. She left behind her smile, her love of adventure, and her immense love for her three children.

Because Kerri spent her final hours in a local homeless shelter, Shade Tree, proceeds from this pattern will be donated to that organization in her name.
