Monet's Meadow Bag
Purchase BOTH the Monet’s Meadow Bag and Blush Meadow Bag patterns for a total combined purchase price of $7.50. Both patterns must be added to the cart.
The Monet’s Meadow Bag is a soft, textured crochet shoulder bag inspired by painterly transitions and the easy beauty of a blooming meadow. Designed to highlight both texture and color, this bag looks stunning in solids, gentle gradients, and variegated yarns.
The relaxed hobo shape and comfortable strap make it a practical everyday bag, while the stitch pattern keeps the project engaging from start to finish.
Skill Level: Advanced Beginner - Intermediate
Finished Size: Approximately 11” wide x 13” tall (not including strap)
Construction Notes: Worked from the bottom up using two strands of yarn held together in a repeating stitch pattern that creates a soft, flexible fabric with excellent drape.
Yarn Suggestions: This pattern works well with solid yarns for a classic look or tonal or variegated yarns for a painterly effect. Cotton yarns as well as acrylic, and cotton yarn blends will work nicely for this pattern design.
Yarn used for the pattern sample consisted of less than one full Caron Cotton Painterly Cake (481 yards) and less than one 400 gram cone of Peaches and Creme Original Ombre Cotton.
Additional Materials:
rectangular or round purse rings (2) with a 1.5” opening
1.5” toggle button for closure
This pattern has been thoroughly tested and includes short video demonstrations to help clarify techniques. These videos are used to complement the written pattern instructions and are not intended as a video pattern tutorial that goes from start to finish.
