Monkey Lovey
A free version is also available.
You can find this pattern for free on my blog, or you can purchase an ad-free printable PDF version (including a text only version for easy printing).
This pattern will show you how to make a Monkey Lovey. Feel free to get creative and customize the lovey by changing the colors, head positioning, or facial features to get the look you want.
I made mine using Lion Brand Cotton 24/7 in Magenta and Charcoal. I crocheted the granny square base using an H (5.0 mm) hook and I used an F (3.75 mm) crochet hook for the monkey’s head and arms.
Gauge isn’t crucial as long as your stitches are tight enough to keep the stuffing in for the head and arms. I tend to crochet tightly, so you’ll probably want to go down a hook size if you’re a looser crocheter. As written, the granny square should be about 13 inches by 13 inches when finished.
You’ll also need fiberfill stuffing, stitch markers, and a tapestry needle.
You’re welcome to do whatever you’d like to with finished products made from this pattern but if you do sell them, I ask that you link back to my page.
